Global Union Federations (GUFs) In Sub-Sahara Africa

The Trade Union Competence Centre (TUCC) also advises on all activities the FES country offices in Sub-Saharan Africa are conducting as part of FES’s “International Trade Union Policy Programmes” in collaboration with the Global Union Federations (GUFs). The Competence Centre is also the responsible implementation office for activities which take place in South Africa under that particular programme. Beyond this the FES TUCC helps the African regional offices of the GUFs – amongst the TUCC’s main partner organisations – to coordinate their activities, campaigns and projects in an annual GUF Forum.


Worldwide trade union activities through the Global Trade Union project

Partners are the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), all global trade union conferderations, the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the Trade Union Advisory Committee (TUAC) with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)


Supra-national trade union activities in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europa, South-East Europe

Partners are national umbrella organisations, regional structures of the International Trade Union Confederation and the global trade union confederations


Local/National trade union activities through approximately 100 FES country offices in Africa, Asia, Latin America, The Middle East and North Africa, and Central/Eastern and South-East Europe Partners are primarily national trade union confederations, but also sector organisations and occasionally individual trade union
